Texas Express TFC was originally founded by Coach John Turek who still coaches at St. Mark's School of Dallas. Coach "T" was Chad's childhood coach, along with dad Buzz. After Chad's collegiate career, he returned to Dallas and began coaching alongside Coach "T". Coach "T" has coached 30+ years and Team USA multiple times over the years in the multi events. The track and field club produced multiple Olympians. Over time, Chad took the reigns of Texas Express and it has now transformed into one of the elite pole vault clubs in America.
Coaching Philosophy: Safety is our NUMBER ONE priority here at Texas Express. Anyone walking in will see a family friendly atmosphere where athletes, parents, and coaches encourage all, no matter their ability level. We believe in coaching each athlete and what they bring to the table on a daily basis. Because of this mindset, each training session will have athletes working on various aspects of their vault. We build relationships so we can learn each athlete's tendencies to help them improve when the bar goes up in competition.
